Man tries to kidnap child at a restaurant, she is saved by a man trained in Martial Arts
A 24-year-old man attempts to kidnap a child in a pizzeria in Florida, Johannesburg at Bella Napoli pizzeria. It seems like an average safe place. Its even in a shopping center.
He can be seen jumping over the fence onto the balcony and grabbing the young girl by the neck.
He was arrested and appeared in the Roodepoort Magistrate’s Court on Friday morning facing charges of assault, not attempted kidnapping. It’s very disturbing to watch. However, it illustrates why parents not only have a duty to be in shape but I also think they have a duty to protect their family. Not everyone will agree and there are many ways to do this, but what I think is the most effective way is training in Martial Arts.
The video was spreading like wildfire on Friday and a lot of Martial Arts influencers were reposting it. So we wanted to dig in a little more and see what the real story was. Some people said he was a bodyguard, others just thought it was a random bystander.
But this was no accident this man saved her, he was trained. His name was Dishal Sooku, and sounds like he might be the manager at the restaurant.
Though the technique wasn’t the most complex (a rear naked choke), he knew how to apply it under pressure and in a stressful situation. Assuming there was glass all over the ground, he was probably also in a lot of pain. Martial arts specifically helps you deal with these problems in the training. He had great situational awareness as you can see him standing up even before the man jumps over the fence.

Dishal Sooku was already prepared for something to go down and immediately jumped on the man and put him in a rear naked choke. If he didn’t react fast enough it's possible the man could have ran away, for all we know there was a car waiting for him.
Eventually, the police come and detain the man.
