(Home) Office Space
Most of us work in an office — nowadays, likely a home office. Most of us also use desk accessories: pens, stapler, paper clips, sticky notes, a desk lamp — but are they fun? Many of us have resigned ourselves to boring black staplers and run-of-the-mill pencil holders — but it doesn’t have to be that way.
Even Milton from Office Space appreciated a striking red Swingline stapler.
Personally speaking, I’m a HUGE fan of novelty items of all sorts: socks, kitchen gadgets, desk accessories, coffee mugs — you name it! Just because you use something to perform a mundane everyday task doesn’t mean you can’t have fun using it. Take posting things on a bulletin board. Sure you can use round magnets or regular thumbtacks, but why not use cat (or dog) butt magnets, or rubber chicken push pins?
Or use push pins that look like donut sprinkles. Who doesn’t love donuts?

Pens and pencils deserve a fun place to hang out…not to mention funny sharpener.
What desk drawer doesn’t need a corporate voodoo doll? That’s right, stick it to the man!
If you can’t find a snazzy red Swingline stapler, dress up that boring black one with stickers.
And after a long, hard day of work, enjoy some bedtime reading.
