For all miners on the Testnet, we’re excited to announce an additional 800,000 in MASA rewards for miners to continue contributing data to the Protocol till Incentivized Testnet Phase 5. We’re also introducing a 100,000 MASA in Super Miner & Power Miner rewards, as well as a 100,000 MASA for everyone to join the priority list for Phase 5. Note that you will need to join Masa Discord’s #node-miner channel to qualify for any rewards.

Continue the Journey as a Miner on the Masa Protocol 800,000 MASA Reward Pool for Testnet Extension Rewards
To keep the momentum going and continue to incentivize miners to contribute to the Masa Protocol we’re introducing the Testnet Extension 800,000 MASA Reward Pool.
This reward pool is reserved for miners who continue to maintain their miner operations beyond the completion of the Incentivized Testnet Phase 4. This reward pool is also reserved for new miners who become active on the protocol, and contribute data during this period of time before Incentivized Testnet Phase 5. Miners will earn MASA by contributing data and ensuring uptime on the network, as outlined below:
Testnet Extension Reward Structure for Miners
Miners’ rewards are calculated based on:
- Data Points contributed to the Masa Protocol
- Uptime: Consistent operation and reliability of the miner node
This means that any miner who maintains uptime of their node will be able to earn rewards. High performers who contribute more quality data points to the protocol will earn higher shares of the rewards.
How to Check Your Miner Status & Increase Miner Performance
In order to meet the minimum qualification for Testnet Extensions rewards, you need to ensure that your miner is active and healthy.

To support miners during this Testnet Extension period, each participating miner will receive an $8 USDC airdrop to cover their Premium X (formerly Twitter) account subscription. The only requirements are to 1) join Masa Discord #node-miner channel and get verified; 2) tweet about Masa’s Incentivized Testnet.

Join the Masa Protocol Priority List: 100,000 MASA in Rewards
In anticipation of the next phase of the Masa Protocol Testnet, we’re opening a Masa Protocol Incentivized Testnet Priority List with an additional 100,000 MASA reward pool.
By pre-registering, new miners can secure a spot in the upcoming Masa Protocol Incentivized Testnet Phase 5. Hurry up to secure your spot, because Phase 5 will be competitive.

Super Miner & Power Miner Rewards: 100,000 MASA for Top Contributors
Masa is also introducing Super Miner and Power Miner Role & Rewards to recognize and reward exceptional community members. These top contributors — known as Super Miners and Power Miners — will split a reward pool of 100,000 MASA for their ongoing engagement, dedication, and support within the Masa community.

Qualifying for Super Miner Status
To foster a thriving community, Super Miners are evaluated based on:
- Content Creation: Sharing information and creating content about Masa’s miner programs across platforms like Twitter, Discord, and Telegram.
- Onboarding Support: Assisting new miners with setup and integration within the Masa Discord.
- Technical Support: Offering troubleshooting assistance and support to active miners within the community.
Qualifying for Power Miner Status
Not technical? Don’t worry, you can still become a Power Miner. Power Miners are evaluated based on:
- Content Creation: Sharing information and creating content about Masa’s miner programs across platforms like Twitter and Discord.
- Community Participation: Participating in various Masa community activities, such as attending X-Twitter Spaces, creating memes, sending GMs in Discord channels, and many more.
By the start of the Masa Protocol Incentivized Testnet Phase 5, Super Miners and Power Miners will equally split the 100,000 MASA reward pool, recognizing those who go above and beyond to advance the Masa Protocol and build a supportive, engaged community.
Phase 4 Incentivized Testnet Completion & Reward Distribution
Congratulations to everyone who participated as a miner on the Phase 4 of the Masa Protocol Testnet, and qualified for rewards. Final rewards will be published on November 30th, and rewards will be distributed when the Masa Protocol goes live on mainnet.
Additionally, Masa will announce the Testnet Extension completion date in the future, including the date we’ll publish the final rewards. Rewards for the extension will also be distributed when the Masa Protocol goes live on mainnet.
