It’s been exactly one-year since we launched our highly-anticipated Masa Soul Names. Whoa, how time flies!
Since that time, over 10,000 .soul names have been minted by our incredible community, and hundreds of thousands of Masa domains have been minted across various blockchains.
Today, we’re excited to unveil a new and easy way to renew or mint a .soul, .base or .celo domain.
Time to Renew Your .Soul Name ⏰
If you minted your .soul name right after we launched, and registered it for one-year, then it might be time to renew your Masa Soul Name(s).
Renewing your .soul name makes sure you maintain ownership of your unique web3 identity. Your .soul name will continue to have value throughout our Masa Ecosystem as we grow and expand.
Please note: If you minted and held your .soul name in anticipation of receiving $MASA tokens, the snapshot was completed on December 31st, 2023.
How to Mint or Renew a Masa Domain
Step 1. Go to https://app.masa.finance/soulnames
Step 2. Connect Your Wallet & Sign-In
Step 3. Select the Masa Domain you would like to mint or renew.
- You can select from .soul, .base or .celo
Step 4. Make sure you’re connected to the right network
- For minting or renewing a .soul name — connect to the Ethereum network
- For minting or renewing a .base domain — connect to the Base network
- For minting or renewing a .celo domain — connect to the Celo network
Step 5. Type the name of the domain you’d like to mint or renew
- Our system will automatically detect if you’re the existing owner of a domain, and give you the option to renew.
Step 6. Choose the period and length of time
- Select how long you would like to renew or mint your soul name or domain for, and it will lock in the duration of your domain ownership
Step 7. Mint your Soul Name/Domain
- Click mint, process the transaction in your wallet.
- Whoola, you’ve renewed or minted your soul name or domain 🎉
How to View your Soulname or Domain

Please note: We’re currently working with OpenSea to resolve an issue where renewed .soul and .base domains will appear twice on OpenSea. When a .soul name is renewed the old one is burned — and once fixed, will be removed from OpenSea. Please refrain from trying to burn or trade expired domains.
