Why the Constitution MUST be Protected
The Constitution of The United States is one of the only documents on earth that establishes a limited government by man. The by man part is extremely important in recent Washington politics, more specifically when Edward Snowden, former NSA subcontractor, leaked to the world that the United States and other allies were spying on their own citizens. Now that is not the only Constitutional violation that our government regularly commits, there’s always more. We the people should not only focus on one amendment to the Constitution or specific articles of it. It’s all equally important.
Our country’s founders wanted all of us to be radicals. They wanted us to be radicals because radicals get things done. Radicals are the ones who stand up for the things they believe in. The most famous radical of the founding movement was of course Patrick Henry who stood in front of the Second Virginia Convention and decreed “Give me liberty, or give me death!” among other things.
Our Constitution was meant to be amended and amended often. The left often claims that our Constitution is outdated, but the one thing that they do not do is propose an amendment to solve the outdated part. It’s no secret that here at Masculine Culture we revere the Constitution. In fact we love the Constitution so much that both of us would wrap our cars in a vinyl of it, but that isn’t the point.
The Constitution is a sacred document. It protects man from Government and makes man the master of Government, not the other way around. The Constitution must be protected at all costs and not only the convenient amendments like the 1st, 2nd and 5th. All amendments are equally important, hence why it is said that the 2nd amendment is cornerstone to the 1st and so on and so forth.
If we do not protect our rights now and be fervent about it, we will lose them. As Ronald Reagan once said:
Freedom is a fragile thing and is never more than one generation away from extinction. It is not ours by inheritance; it must be fought for and defended constantly by each generation, for it comes only once to a people. Those who have known freedom and then lost it have never known it again.
It’s up to us to defend our Constitution, The Declaration of Independence and The Articles of Confederation until our last blood drop.
