From Chris:

On Friday, we had our first Hacker Friday of the school year. If you haven’t been keeping up, Hacker Fridays are basically a free time to gather with people and code whatever you want. From around 3:30 to 10:00 PM, we had like 20 people and we were just building our own projects on our laptops. It was a pretty chill time. Not to mention, the free food. Thanks to Cengage, we got pizza and drinks too. Whether it was building a Chrome extension, working on some code you had already, or learning a new language entirely, Hacker Friday was a fun time.

Where did Hacker Friday come from?

Hacker Friday began in the backseat of our Development Director’s car where we sat in the parking lot of Buffalo Wild Wings trying to think of ways to modernize Mason Hack Club. It blossomed into a Friday night filled with coding frustration and elation as we all tried to learn new things or build something we’ve never built before, and our first Hacker Friday was a resounding success!
