Every leader I know is consumed with establishing the right culture in their business or organization.
The right culture will determine the success or the failure of that organization.
What kind of culture do most leaders want to establish? I mean when was the last time you heard of a leader wishing that their culture would be less-innovative, less-creative, less-efficient, or less communication-oriented?
These aren’t the kind of elements that we want in our business or organization. No, we want creativity, innovation, efficiency and strong communication.
Then why doesn’t it happen? Culture.
Culture is the driving force behind the success or failure of both organizations and people.
The environment that you create for your employees, your family at home, for yourself — — it all matters in the end for your success as a leader.
Think of culture as patterns of behavior.
Do people show up late to work? Culture.
Do your employees take way too long to accomplish projects? Culture.
Does your team settle for mediocrity and lack excellence in production or in sales? Culture.
Leader, guess what? It’s your fault.
As a leader, you must create the culture that is necessary to win. You are the one that must foster and cultivate. You must create the environment.
You can do this by taking an assessment every single day of the organization’s culture.
Is it where you want it to be? No, then confront and change. Tomorrow, no, then confront and change. Confront people and inspire change every single day until the culture is where you want it to be!
