Judi and Gavin arrived at the subway station and flashed their badges at several uniformed officers. The walked past a number onlookers and transit workers who held the crowd of back. As they walked on the subway platform, towards the middle of the train, Judi could see an officer who stood on the station, taking photos of the car with his phone.

They approached the subway car, a portly older, male with a florid pale complexion, and thinning hair stopped them.

“Hey Gav… Judes. I would have taken this, but I thought you guys would want to get on this ASAP!” said Detective Bantana.

“What do you have for us Rich?” asked Judi.

Bantana handed Gavin a police report and Judi observed the damage done to the interior of the subway car.

“Okay, witnesses from Canal and Spring street say that a young Black male was seen fighting with two Chinese men who had swords” said Gavin.

Judi studied the broken window. She noticed that there was some type of explosion in the car based on the hole.

“Okay, I’m done with Chinatown! Soul Stealing, lethal drugs, subway Shaolin and we got some kid who thinks he’s some type of superhero who thinks he’s Bruce Leroy!” said Gavin.

Judi is briefly amused and then focused her attention on the menus that lay on the floor near a few shards of glass. She didn’t want to touch anything, fingerprints could be on the menus. She took out her phone and zoomed in on the menu that read:

KAM’S KITCHEN

Judi knew the location of the restaurant, and has often purchased dim sum there. She looked at Gavin and told him the name of the restaurant.

“No way. So either these swordsman or the young Bruce Leroy dude is the culprit” said Gavin.

They felt that this might be the clue that they needed. This time, they were correct!
