CHAPTER 10 (REMIX / THE TAKEOVER)

ILLUSTRATION / PATRICK SINNOT

At Club Sin, Mr. Lo sat in an office that belonged to Tony. He listened as arrangements were made, while Tony gave orders to someone on the phone.

“The appointment has been made. Are you sure you need to see this guy?” asked Tony.

Mr. Lo is grows tired of Tony. “He continues to second guess me” he thought to himself.

“This is no ordinary battle” replied Mr. Lo.

Mr. Lo walked to the window so he can think. He looks at the lights of the city and reflected on the entire situation. He doubts what his mind has told him, but how can he when he has seen the Neverending Master in action himself?

“Witchcraft, sorcery, it’s all a bunch of mumbo jumbo!” said Tony.

“Perhaps” replied Mr. Lo.

There was an odd silence for several minutes, Mr. Lo’s attention was fixed on the Chinatown streets below.

Tony interrupted Mr. Lo’s concentration, saying “I have brought in someone to deal with our problem!”

Mr. Lo knew that whatever Tony is doing, it will be in vain. He sighed and wondered how such a fool could receive this powerful position. Mr. Lo calmly turned and looked at Tony calmly, but with silent contempt.

“You may leave now” said Mr. Lo.
