How To Avoid Conflict And Maintain Your Dignity
Communicate better, live better.
Communication is the reason we moved up in life. However, most people neglect it and it’s sad.
It’s sad because they’re not reaping its benefits. Most people care about themselves, not about others. We’re taught that in countless books from “The Laws of Human Nature” by Robert Greene, to “How to Make Friends and Influence People” by Dale Carnegie.
That’s why we should know how and when to talk (sometimes NOT talking is more fruitful), without hurting ourselves or wasting time.

Your negotiation budget dictates your negotiation power. The more reserve you have, the stronger your hand is.
Our negotiation budget consists of 4 predominant currencies: Time, money, emotion, and energy.
When debating (especially with salespeople), some will try to waste your negotiation budget so you’ll have to accept whatever offer they have (or at least make it so that things lean in their favor.)
It’s wearing you down until you have no choice but to comply.
