Simplifying the Mean
When we say the word “average” we usually are referring to the mean rather than the median or mode. That’s the “add them all up and divide by the number of numbers” average. While that way always gives the correct answer, it’s often more work than you need to do. There are ways to simplify the process that I’ll talk about here.
