DAI on Matic Network

Maker’s DAI will be the first stablecoin on Matic mainnet

We are excited to announce that MakerDao’s DAI will be the first ERC-20 token to be integrated with the Matic sidechains when the network launches its mainnet.

Why DAI?

Dai is one of the most transparent and reliable stablecoins in the ecosystem, has withstood the test for time and as compared to its other competitors, is truly decentralized in nature.

CDPs that provide the collateral for Dai are entirely on-chain, and no counterparty needs to be trusted.

Matic Network sidechains provide scalable and low cost transactions for Ethereum assets to help DApps (decentralized applications) achieve mainstream adoption.

The volatility of blockchain based assets restricts their utility for real world commerce, thus Matic will warrant a reliable stablecoin for various end user purposes. DAI on Matic will help reinforce users’ confidence and enable them to participate in meaningful commerce on the plasma chains.
