BOOKS I READ: Lamberto, Lamberto, Lamberto (1978) by Gianni Rodari. Baron Lamberto, aided by his trusty manservant, Anselmo, finds the fountain of youth when he follows the advice of a fakir they meet in Egypt, “The man whose name is spoken remains alive.”

The Baron hires townsfolk to say his name over and over again. When they do, his aging is reversed, then the shenanigans really begin. Wonderfully hilarious and numerology, too. For kids of all ages. Favorite quip: to the Baron, more than one Lamberto are Lamberti. Illustrations by Federico Maggioni; translated by Antony Shugaar. (Jan 2021)
