Stephen King’s classic Pet Sematary is finally going to be released as an unabridged audiobook, and it will be narrated by the ever-creepy Michael C. Hall (Dexter).

The book has been a favorite for fans of King, horror and Constant Readers of all stripes since 1983. In 1989, it was adapted for the bit screen, with a soundtrack featuring The Ramones, mutual admirers of King. “Pet Sematary” was one of the band’s biggest late-career hits. In 2013, the book received a 30th anniversary edition re-release.

However, unlike much of King’s other work, Pet Sematary has not seen release as an audiobook — unusual for King, a staunch advocate of the medium.

That’s going to change on March 27, with the release of an audiobook narrated by Hall. As reported in EW,

“Readers have been asking for this audiobook for a very long time,” King said in a statement. “I know the listening experience will be worth the wait with Michael as narrator.”

The unabridged Pet Sematary audiobook will be available March 27, from Simon & Schuster Audio.
