Who am I?
Matteo G.P. Flora is the CEO and Founder of The Fool, the leading Italian technological Startup developing systems and technologies for Online Reputation Analysis and Defense and Intellectual Property Protection and CEO and Founder of Samadhi, a technological Holding empowering Digital Visionaries.
He is Contract Professor in “Open Source Intelligence” in the University of Roma Tor Vergata Master in “Economical and Financial Intelligence”, as well as Visiting Professor in several EU Universities, and in 2012 Matteo has been selected for the prestigious International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) on “Combating Cybercrime”, the U.S. Department of State’s premier international professional exchange program selecting the Future Changemakers.
Before founding The Fool, Matteo has been Strategic Consultant specialising in Information and Digital Security. As Security Evangelist he has released over 100 Security Reports and Advisories. Through The Fool, Matteo is assisting domestic and international companies (Banks, Law Enforcement and Defense Agencies, Public Institutions, VIPs, Politicians, Key Managers, Brands) in the field of Online Reputation Monitoring, Analysis of the Social Web and Social-Media Monitoring, Early Warning and Risk Assessment, Online IP Protectionand DMCA Reporting, Content Moderation and Compliancy Enforcement. Moreover, in latest years Matteo has acted as Expert Witness in the most important italian IP Protection cases, including Mediaset vs.Google/Youtube, and Technological Consultant for Telefono Arcobaleno International, an independent organisation which has been protecting the fundamental rights of children against Children Exploitation.
He is a Digital Rights and Media Activist, is involved in the Italian Hacking Scene and Founding Member of the Hermes Center for Transparency and Digital Human Rights, a U.S. Open Technology Fund sponsored NGO responsible for Digital Freedom Tools creation and creators of the Leading Open-Source WhistleBlowing framework GlobaLeaks.org, widely used in anti-corruption and whistleblowing media outlets around the world (WildLeaks, PubLeaks, MafiaLeaks and dozen others).
Active in the Italian (Technology) Startup ecosystem, Matteo is also Mentor and Partner in the EnLabs Tech Incubator in Rome. He is a Blogger and Article writer in the spare time; he is also TV Guest and Magazine contributor. He is featured in the EU “Who’s Who in the World” since 1998.
