Moment

Sometimes
the world
takes a breath
reality shifts
you see new things
new details in
common places
you have been
a thousand times.
Something new
stands out
something
unpretentiously
wonderful
a quiet thing
that has been there
the entire time.
What is that?
I didn’t know
that was there
you smile
at the growth
of your connection
to this ordinary place
this everyday place
that has become
a little more beautiful
in the moment
before the light changes
and you go about your day.
