How Medium Makes Me Write More Often

I never really bothered with Medium before and always thought why would I do that when I have my own website. Recently however I shut down my website and started to write here instead.

Medium is a fantastic platform and a wonderful writing experience — even on mobile. And that is the key. A lot of my writing starts out sat on the sofa drinking my morning coffee.

Medium allows me to easily tap out the first few paragraphs or even a full post on my iPhone and it doesn’t make me want to run to my computer.

Since I started writing on Medium I have started over 7 posts in 3 days and these are more then just a list of Titles my WordPress site was full of.

Not only am I starting to write more content I am finishing more of it with posts nearing completion and a content calendar with scheduled posts starting to form.

Shortly I will pay some attention to growing my Medium audience and bring in some of the older and popular content from my old website. It is a slow process for me as I am making a lot of changes around the technology and platforms I use and seem to be gravitating ever more into Apple’s world (that’s another story for another day).
