Jordanna Felice (she/they) of Eithermore is a queer singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Long Island, NY. Jordanna often plays with her band on Long Island and NYC but sometimes performs acoustically as well. Both performances are worth hearing if you get the opportunity to catch Eithermore live in concert.

Eithermore released their debut LP, Cycle of Opposites in 2018 which contains ten great songs. Some of my personal favorites are “Red State” and “Fault Lines and Fractures.” More recently, Eithermore dropped a previously unreleased song titled “New Friends.” Jordanna teamed up with longtime friend and musical collaborator Zach Kirsamae for this very intimate recording.

The duo have done a fantastic live performance of “New Friends” at Refuge Recording with an acoustic guitar (played by Jordanna) and upright bass (played by Zach). The vocals are stunning and captivating. The acoustic instrumentation compliments the vocals and songwriting very well.

Jordanna goes into the meaning of the lyrics in the quote below:

“This song is about meeting someone new and that initial unbridled excitement. In the beginning, when things are still undefined. You just want to spend all your time with this person. There’s this fear of only having a short time together. It’s a very special song to me. I wrote it about my partner James. We’ll be together a year the day this song drops. Looking back the song almost seems prophetic. There’s a line in the song, “Thought I was on my way to you. I found myself all along.” This last year I’ve experience such amazing personal growth and James coming into my life sparked so much of that. Sometimes you just meet someone who holds up a mirror to your life. Someone who cracks you wide open and exposes all the things inside you. This is song is about the kind of soul connection that blooms into love.”

Jordanna was in her element when she met James (she/they). They met in person for the first time at one of her gigs.
