We’ve all heard of queer Instagram channels and YouTube channels. Still, Tik Tok is the app that is currently trending top among Millennials and Generation Z. Tik Tok allows users to post 15-second videos about everything from lip-syncing or dancing to a popular song to any funny moment about life. LGBTQ people have not been left behind, and if you have been on Tik Tok long enough, you’ve probably heard of Alt Tik Tok, which embodies everything about being queer.

Tik Tok has provided LGBTQ creators with a platform to share their experiences and difficulties with self-acceptance, family, and the fear of coming out. LGBTQ+ content creators are using Tik Tok to create a safe environment for other LGBTQ+ youth. This has also enabled them to form partnerships with brands, which acts as a form of encouragement for other queer community members.

Below are 8 of the most influential LGBTQ+ Tik Tok channels to follow:

Towa bird

Towa bird gained her fame after posting a video of herself performing an edited guitar cover of ‘The Less I Know the Better’ by Tame Impala during the UK’s Lockdown. The video showcases her musical talent and amplifies the voices of small content creators. Although she already popular on Instagram, this video saw her amass a large following on Tik Tok. Towa bird has 500.3k followers. You can follow her @towabird.

Stella-b

Stella-b is Transgender. Her video content captures the ups and downs of high school life out of Hawaii. Some of her videos are about handling bullies and using tampons like some of her friends. She has 737.3k followers. You can follow her @stelluhb.

Mena

Mena’s Tik Tok videos always capture their infectious smile. Their videos also feature their partner Kris, and sometimes their son Jude. Mena has 2.1m followers. You can follow them @imjustmena.

Sugar and Spice

Cooper and Luca are identical twins, and they are both drag queens. They use their Tik Tok account to showcase their incredible looks. They are a brand, and they call themselves Sugar and Spice. Their videos are mostly about dating advice and their day-to-day activities. Sometimes you will find them posting their life as drag queens and coming out. They also engage their fans by posting video answering some of the questions sent in by fans. They have 2.8m followers. You can follow them @coyletwins.

KRIS

Kris is an artist, and some of her videos are of her showing off her drawing skills. She mostly paints her face. The 30-year-old videos also dive into her home life with her fiancée Mena and their son Jude. Kris has 1.5m followers. You can follow her @imjustkrxs.

Nikita Dragun

Nikita Dragun is a transgender woman. She is half Vietnamese and half Mexican, but was raised in the United States. Dragun came out as a transgender person in college. She has paved her career as a successful model and a YouTuber. On her YouTube channel, she speaks openly about her transition process. Dragun also makes short videos about the same for her Tik Tok channel. Dragun has 8.4m followers. You can follow her @niikitadragun.

Team2moms

Ebony and Denise are have been together for 12 years and married for eight of those. Their account is about a two-mom family parenting three kids — Olivia, Jayden, and Lucas. They also have a YouTube channel showing details of their lives. Their Tik Tok videos mostly contain family activities with kids, relationships, and coming out advice. They have 3.1 m followers. Pink Neinu

Pink Neinu is a makeup artist who uses her Tik Tok channel to showcase incredible drag queen looks. She uses comedy while making her make tutorials making them fun and informative. Neinu is controversial as she does not shy away from serious matters such as politics and defending the lives of people of color. Neinu has 720.4 followers. You can follow her @pink_neinu.
