No worries, I have a Black Belt in Mind Defense
My work day is beginning.
Many complex issues to be solved,
and meetings to be attended.
Who is responsible for
crowding my calendar?
I’m an introvert and yearn for
a slower pace of interaction
to keep a clear mind that helps
to remember what happened,
and what we decided to do next.
But I also love the fast extroverts,
their energy is, well… energizing.
But also exhausting.
Luckily I have privacy
in my workroom.
I retreat to my chamber of silence.
Waiting for the humming
inside my head to stop.
When I retreat to my room,
close the door and
embrace total silence,
will that help?
Not always.
The silence in my isolated room
makes my inner turmoil louder.
I hear my thoughts
bumping into each other,
fighting to draw my attention.
