Cycle Maupin
If you’re looking for cycling in Central Oregon then Maupin should be on your list. A small town just 2 hours from Portland which provides food, lodging and recreation. There are miles of amazing gravel and mixed gravel routes that provide Deschutes river and Mount Hood views. (Sisters, Mt Adams and Jeffereson are also visible depending on conditions.)
You can start you ride in Maupin and do a 33 mile loop called the Sherars Falls Scenic Bikeway enjoy fantastic views of the Lower Deschutes River though the golden hills of the high desert.

While in Maupin you can stock up on provisions at Maupin Market, grab a post ride refreshment at the Riverside, or dinner and stay at the Imperial.
