Class Reflection
I can’t believe the semester is already over. I am so blessed to have had the opportunity to take this class. I want to thank Nicco and Ev for inspiring me to go beyond my domestic boundaries and channel my inner entrepreneur. These past two years have been nothing short of amazing; from the teachers to my classmates, it’s truly been a humbling experience and this class is no different. Taking this course was one of the best decisions I made at USC. For me this class was beyond a grade; but the dedication, commitment, and passion from the professors was unparalleled.
What I enjoyed most about this class is learning all the nitty gritty details of what it actually takes to be an entrepreneur and how it gave me a new perspective when thinking of new ideas for a business. I’m not a very creative person and I sometimes do not know how to thoroughly express my thoughts or ideas and put them in fruition. This class definitely pushed me out of this bubble. The readings were all informative and I REALLY enjoyed the startup podcast ( actually finished it all within the first week of class). Knowing the ins and outs of what it takes to being an entrepreneur was great to listen to, especially when you don’t always hear that perspective. The guest lectures were fantastic as well as the site visit to NationBuilder. The readings, guest lectures, and class discussions were all connected very well and I would not change the dynamic at all. If I had one recommendation, I would only wish that we had more time to discuss our individual projects early on with each other to get more insight but time simply did not permit. I also think we should meet with the professors twice in the semester to go over the final project so everything can come together more smoothly.
With that said, I am very blessed to conclude my masters program with this course. Nicco was fantastic and his wealth of knowledge was inspiring to listen to. Ev, thank you for your constant support and help throughout this semester. Thank you for a wonderful class I will never forget!
