Drumroll, please…tonight, say hello to our Alumni Advisors, Amber Nguyen and Long Nguyen! These two have a wealth of experience with MAUVSA, UNAVSA, and the community (including terms as MAUVSA President!), and we’re glad to have them on board for guidance.

What is your previous/current VSA experience?

MAUVSA Secretary, Internal Vice President, President, MAC III Co-Executive Director, lifelong member!

Why did you want to get involved with MAUVSA?

Because after graduating, I didn’t have a reason to not get involved.

What impact did MAUVSA have on you?

MAUVSA has had the greatest influence on me — I learned to stop being afraid of failure and to always take on new challenges!

What do you want to take away from this year?

I want to be able to use my past experience to help MAUVSA have a great year!

What do you like to do on your free time?

Eat ice cream in new cities!

What’s your favorite Vietnamese food?

BANH MI! ❤

Your future aspirations?

Go to Disney World!

Area of Study: B.A. Psychology; Accounting

What is your previous/current VSA experience?

UVA VSA Social Chair, UVA VSA Advisor, MAUVSA Treasurer, President, Historian, Advisor, UNAVSA Treasurer, UNAVSA-7 Co-Executive Director.

What impact did MAUVSA have on you?

MAUVSA is the greatest thing I have ever done or will ever do. It’s given my life purpose and meaning. I want it emblazoned on my tombstone someday.

What do you want to take away from this year?

I’d like to continue building MAUVSA’s financial strength and community outreach, while providing my years of experience as a resource/reference.

What do you like to do on your free time?

Comic books, pro-wrestling, movies, and memes.

What’s your favorite Vietnamese food?

Nem nuong cuon.

Your future aspirations?

To protect the world from devastation, to unite all peoples within our nation, to denounce the evils of truth and love, to extend our reach to the stars above.
