An open letter for Amber and Crysta.
“Here is to the future.”
Dear Amber, Crysta,
I found it absolutely refreshing and fitting to see that our community has two extremely talented ladies stepping up to lead MAUVSA. Gender diversity in leadership and teams is greatly undervalued in many professional environments and I’ve seen this very painfully first hand in a great majority of technology companies. Having strong women and men bringing ideas to the conversation is a truly understated competitive advantage.
So often we fail to reflect and connect dots that are our skills and experiences within MAUVSA to those outside in our professional careers. Tuan has shown us very clearly that you can bring ideas from a separate world into MAUVSA and build an enduring culture that has really redefined the experience. I look forward to seeing you both connect those dots and continue to move the ball forward.
You have my fullest support in the decisions you make and the teams you build over the next term. I hope that the rest of your board and staff fights… truly fights for that opportunity to sit at your table because you both have worked very hard.
In case I don’t express it enough. I am very proud to be your friend ever since we first met many years ago.. Just in case you forgot lets take a quick ride down memory lane.
