MAUVSA Financial Transparency
On October 2014, we, the executive board decided to take the next step as a 501(c)(3) by taking up grant writing as an alternative to fund…our initiatives, learn more about non-profit finance, and explore possibilities to advance the organization. ¶ Now, in 2015, we are increasing our transparency with our finances as a form of best practice inspired and encouraged by former MAUVSA president Stephen Nguyen’s Sustainability and Transparency Grant. As a part of the grant, we were required to meet certain criteria to receive an additional $3,000 in 2016.
