William: the kind of friend everyone needs
Scholar loves cats and doing the right thing, even when it’s hard.

William is the kind of person with who you would want as a friend. He is an honest guy and always ready to do the right thing even when it’s hard to do so.

Last year in fourth grade, William knew his best friend did something wrong but was honest about it. He did the right thing.
“He is such a great kid,” said Brooke Gottschalk, William’s fifth-grade teacher. “He does the right thing, even when it is hard.”
William is a big brother to his little sisters. He loves playing Fortnite and is kind to everyone he encounters, Gottschalk said. He is excellent at making sure everyone has a laugh, too.
Last week, at the talent show, William had the idea to showcase his love for TicTac — his pet cat. He showcased his talent of being Cat-Man in which he demonstrated just how quickly he could get his cat to purr.
William is such a great friend, person and Maxfield Scholar.
