Which would you choose, Silence, Beauty, Love or Truth?

The choice is an exercise used in the training of the student who would endeavour to put their choosing into meaningful practice for at least a moon cycle.

The answer changes as the students traverse revelations, the training of the witch brings into consciousness.

It seems an age since the Craft and its priesthood focused on their spiritual development, their worship, or their service to those who ask the witches coven for help.

It is a known fact that witches are a quarrelsome lot particularly when in open discussion.

Politically motivated, emotional and drunken diatribe claptrap has been the activity on many Witchcraft FaceBook sites, whether it be secret, closed or public.

It is hard to believe the writers could be initiates of the sacred mysteries or possible seekers of an initiatory mystery cult.

The art of good manners is preferable to the somewhat vulgar gutter sniping that seems to be obligatory in a futile attempt to show rebellious intellectualism, revealing lack of occult knowledge, and practice.

That is, until comparatively recently.

After an overdose of the above, a few felt compelled to allow, not only intelligence to shine through the ether of the internet but priestly thought, aspiration and the natural humour of the witch; combined with just a tinge of politeness has made a difference that seems to be intellectually gentle and contagious.

Perhaps the strength of character of the few had something to do with the subtle changes occurring in the world of Witchy communication.

It is becoming a pleasure to read FB discussions dedicated to Alexandrian Craft although I do wonder, were the one time fashionable rebels ever asked to choose:

Love, Beauty, Truth or Silence?
