Removing memcached from zimbra install.

Mailboxd error, zimbra wont start

Mailboxd not starting, if mysql is running then its probably a dns issue the mailbox cant find its own IP.

The cause is simply a DNS issue, so check your dns records if the error in the log looks something like this.

Hide your bind version

Allowing people to query your bind version can be a security risk.

Here is how you hide it.

vim /etc/named.conf or /etc/bind/named.conf (depending on your installation)

Search and replace multiple files e.g dns zone files

dns search and replace.

grep -lr -e ‘11.11.11.11’ /var/named |xargs sed -i ‘s/11.11.11.11/22.22.22.22./g’

will replace all occurences of 11.11.11.11 with 22.22.22.22
