MAZZUMA’S LATEST UPDATE IS PHENOMENAL!!

Hello readers,

Welcome to a new month. The Mazzuma app, much like its team, is constantly evolving. In this newsletter, we will be showcasing Mazzuma’s newest update, the Mazzuma Keyboard. We will also be sharing our Director of Strategy’s visit to Ashesi, his nomination in the 4th Annual EMY Awards and updates on MAZ token listing.

Mazzuma Keyboard 📲

Our team is very excited to end the month of May with an exciting update to the Mazzuma app. The app now comes with a companion keyboard that allows users to make transactions without leaving their favourite messaging apps such as WhatsApp, Twitter, Snapchat and others.

To activate the Keyboard on your phone, follow the following steps:

• Open your Mazzuma app
• Go to Settings
• Select “Mazzuma keyboard”. Follow the instructions that appear to and enable it
• Restart your phone to fully enable the keyboard.
• After the restart, change your keyboard. You should see ‘Mazzuma Keyboard’ listed
• Select the Mazzuma logo on the bottom left corner to access the keyboard menu, where you can send mobile money or MAZ tokens.

Kofi @ Ashesi’s Exit Strategy Leaver’s Dinner 🥂

Our Director of Business Strategy, Kofi Genfi, was invited to the Exit Strategy Leaver’s Dinner with Ashesi’s final year students. Exit Strategy a series of workshops that focuses on preparing the graduates for the next stage of life. The workshop culminates in a dinner where alumni, like Kofi, are invited to impart wisdom to the students. During the dinner, Kofi answered questions the students had on life after school and starting your own business. He made three important points:

• taking it a day at a time.
• starting small.
• only taking big projects when you can handle them.

Kofi Genfi believes these three rules will guide the students in their journeys after school.

Discovery of the Year🎉

In other exciting news, Kofi Genfi has been nominated for Discovery of the Year in the 4th Annual Exclusive Man of the Year (EMY) Awards. EMY Africa celebrates the best in men’s achievements across the local industry, community, culture and public service.

The ceremony will be held on the 22nd of June, 2019 at the Kempinski Hotel Accra. To show your support to Kofi, all you have to do is click here to vote him!

Kofi Genfi’s win would see him among the ranks of Ex-President of Ghana John Agyekum Kufuor, Dr Kwabena Duffour, Mr Tony Elumelu and Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom.

New Interns!!🎊

It’s intern season! And our first intern is Gurkaran Singh Goindi. Gurkaran is from the University of Berkeley and will be working with the Software Development team on projects relating to Artificial Intelligence. The team looks forward to exchanging knowledge with him and assisting him in bridging the gap between academia and professional life.
