December MBA Mama of the Month

Kellianne Kelly, a Forte Fellow at Cornell’s Johnson Graduate School of Management, began business school in 2014, with over five years of work experience. Kellianne had worked as a Persian Linguist in the US Army, a corporate attorney, a Presidential Management Fellow, and a healthcare attorney in the area of assisted reproduction. All this with her two boys, Johnathan (age 10) and Noah (age 5) along for the journey. Not only have her boys been in tow throughout her career, but she is also bringing them along while she travels to South Africa to study abroad during the Spring 2016 semester. Next year — in July — Kellianne will begin her new career in investment banking at Barclays in New York.
We are thrilled to feature Kellianne on our platform as our December MBA Mama of the Month. In part 1 of her interview to be published next week, we will share more about her experience recruiting for investment banking as a single mom of two boys. As many current MBA women are in the midst of a rigorous mature recruiting period — especially for industries like finance, management consulting and tech, we thought Kellianne’s story could shed some light on best practices and offer inspiration to MBA women with — and without — children. Stay tuned for that piece and more details about Kellianne’s story.
