February 2016 MBA Mama of the Month
We are so excited to announce that Hina Sajid, a recent grad of INSEAD, is our February MBA Mama of the Month. Our CEO met Hina at Wharton, where our MOTM was on exchange (!) for a term.
Originally from Lahore, Pakistan, Hina is currently based in Singapore where she recently joined Microsoft’s MACH MBA Program as a Category Manager. She holds a Masters in Economics from Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) and a BSC (Hons) in Economics and Management from London School of Economics International Program.
Prior to business school, Hina spent six years working across Pakistan, France and Singapore in various industries. She started her own entrepreneurial ventures, worked with a non-profit collaborating with world organizations like the Asian Development Bank, and held a research position at INSEAD. She did her MBA summer internship at Dailymotion where she realized her strong interest in technology and media space within Marketing and Strategy.
Hina is mom to an adorable 3-year-old daughter, Erina. Her husband, Ahsan is also an INSEAD alum and an undergrad from Columbia University who has been her support system throughout her MBA and life journey. Hina actually realized that INSEAD was her dream school while she was there as a partner when Ahsan was working on his MBA.
Between juggling her own ventures, caring for a small child, working on school assignments, and going on exchange as a mom, Hina has had a crazy ride over the last few years. But she wouldn’t change it for anything and strongly recommends it to all the MBA Mamas out there who are considering this brave step. We look forward to sharing her experiences!
