Such a fun and easy read.
Immersive world of superhuman powers that starts of like a young adult college book, but builds each character out over the course of the four books.
Couple that with more and more mysterious which keep popping up and getting uncovered and I was hooked.
What I loved in particular though was the ending of each book in a massive plot twist and/or fight. The end of book two with Nick’s massive twist was a masterstroke.

Sometimes, attaining the impossible was simply a matter of continuously putting one foot in front of the other, no matter what.
Heros and Unpopular Decisions
Heroes don’t cave to the pressures of hate. Heroes do what’s right, no matter what. So what if some people don’t show up? I say it’s more important to set the example of acceptance even when, no, especially when it’s an unpopular decision.
Angels vs Monsters
“Vince, do you know what the difference between monsters and angels is? It’s whether they’re on your side or not.”
Weirdo
“I’m not insinuating that these things were all your fault, I’m merely stating the simple truth that your lives are somewhat more unexpected than an average person’s.” “That’s probably the nicest way anyone has ever called me a weirdo,”
Habits
person will lie with their words, face, and even actions. What they can’t lie through is their habits. No one keeps doing things they hate, not long-term. Human, Super, Powered, everyone eventually weasels out of things they dislike. You want to know what matters most to someone? Look at their habits.
Love the Ultimate Demon
You know, people give things like greed and wrath a bad rap. Sure, they’ll cause plenty of folks to make some poor, shortsighted decisions, but in the end they lack staying power. Now love, on the other hand, love is in a whole different category. Love is what can truly turn people into demons.
