Milk alternatives to reduce carbon footprint

I stopped ordering and buying beef in Jan 2019.

I wanted to go one step further and now cut out cow milk from my diet, so was curious what — from an environmental standpoint — the best alternative is.

Here we go:

Looking at the global averages illustrated in the chart below, producing a glass of dairy milk results in almost three times the greenhouse gas emissions of any non-dairy milks, according to a University of Oxford study.

Conclusion

I’ll be switching to soy milk where I can and will have to hunt down some places which sell oat milk to try it out.
