Famous AIESEC Alumni
Have you ever wondered if someone you are used to see on the television, on the Internet or even listen to on the radio has contributed for the same purpose you are contributing right now? Well, if you have, then you will find this post really interesting!
Here you will find very familiar faces of people who were active members of our organization!
Let’s start with Bill Clinton!
From AIESEC active member to President of the USA, he says: “I applaud the members of AIESEC for your dedication to promoting international understanding and cooperation and for exploring common goals for the future.”
Next with Micheline Calmy-Rey, Federal Councilor of Switzerland!
To her, “We must have ethically active global leaders, people who accept social andeconomic responsability, because the world needs it.”
John Kerry, Secretary of State of USA said that “AIESEC opens the world up to young people, and it opened it up for me. Through their programs, work opportunities, conferences and outreach they surmount cultural barriers and foster a deeper and more meaningful sense of global possibility.”
Prof. Mario Monti, Former Prime Minister of Italy is also part of our Alumni network!
“How could I forget AIESEC? It was thanks to an AIESEC traineeship that I got to the European Commission.”
Let’s keep going with someone we know very well, Aníbal Cavaco Silva, President of Portugal!
And do you know who was also an AIESECer?! That’s right! Mick Jagger, lead singer of The Rolling Stones!
Who was also an AIESECer was Kofi Annan, secretary-general of the United Nations and a huge role model for us to follow.
“The United Nations has long recognised that the imagination, ideals and energies of young men and women are vital for the continuing development of the societies in which they live. and since its inception in 1948, AIESEC has contributed to this development by serving as an agent of positive change through education and cultural exchange. in an era of globalisation, your programmes have helped young people around the world to develop a broader understanding of cultural, socio-economic and business management issues.”
And these are some of the people who made an impact in our society having AIESEC included on ther journey!
