City Blues
Concrete buildings designed of desires
and skyscrapers built of sins,
wise sights and cynical gazes-
are caught on streets, as
the lonely throng makes its way
to theatre and comedy clubs.
The streets cry in silence,
and confide its secrets
to strangers in brown trench coats.
The dreary night casts a shadow
of dead flowers and crushed dreams;
looking for a home to hide amongst fallen places and beings.
The orange rays wake up to the smell of burnt cigarettes and ruined champagne,
seeking solace in the bitterly blue sky
on a new day of every day;
bearing witness to an anxious civilization-
Living a magical city life.
