Women of YouTube: Raya Encheva

The phrase “life goals” definitely applies when it comes to 23-year-old YouTuber Raya Encheva. Her YouTube channel “RayaWasHere” has gained a following of nearly 50,000 subscribers in just under one year.

Through her vlogs, Encheva takes her subscribers with her on numerous adventures around the world. Past destinations include Shanghai, New York, London, Morocco, Bulgaria, and many more. In addition to travel videos, she also shares advice with her audience on friends, school and life.

McClung’s Magazine’s Julianne San Antonio had the pleasure of sitting down with Encheva while she was in Toronto for the 2015 Buffer Festival. In the video below, the two discuss how the YouTuber’s life has changed since launching her channel and how the platform is empowering for women.
