SEVENTAGE Corporation (Head office: Setagaya-ku, Tokyo; President: Masaaki Maruyama), a blockchain game developer, has partnered with doublejump.tokyo Corporation (Head office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Hironobu Ueno) to develop a fiercely interactive blockchain RPG “CHOJO -CryptoGirlsArena-” (hereafter, CHOJO). The game is now available.
A new gaming experience that uses blockchain technology to make your character truly yours.
The novel blockchain technology, called MCH+ (*1) and provided by doublejump.tokyo, is used to fuse the latest blockchain technology with character-driven games featuring gorgeous voice actors, original scenarios, and newly written images of beautiful girls. We aim to expand this market by creating a popular IP from a blockchain game.
This game can be easily played from the official game website (https://chojo-cga.com) on PC or smartphone by anyone with a (mobile)browser.
*1) “MCH+” (https://www.mch.plus/) is a publishing service by doublejump.tokyo that combines the systems and know-how developed for “My Crypto Heroes” (*2) and “Brave Frontier Heroes”, the world’s №1 blockchain game distributed by doublejump.tokyo. ■What is CHOJO’s goal for the blockchain game?
Many of today’s online games are structured in such a way that the game data you’ve invested time, money and love into disappears when the service ends. Blockchain is a distributed ledger technology, a database that connects and stores data scattered across servers around the world by linking blocks of data units together like a chain.
Some of the features of the system are:
- It does not require centralized management by the developer. (the information is owned by the owner, not by the management)
- Once inscribed, theoretically, it cannot be altered, making it difficult to be falsified.
- It is highly transparent and can be viewed by anyone.
Due to the nature of blockchain games, trade by external services is also active in blockchain games, and the asset nature of the game is also gaining attention. Companies are aiming to create a world where all gamers and creators can thrive.
CHOJO utilizes some of the above blockchain technology to manage the fighters (characters) and arts (equipment) that users have acquired as their own assets (NFT) on the blockchain. ■Launch of YouTube “CHOJO Channel”
To coincide with the release of CHOJO, the company has launched a YouTube channel featuring the Japanese voice actors of CHOJO. The channel will provide information for newcomers to blockchain games, live stats of in-game competitions, behind-the-scenes footage of CHOJO’s development, and more, all of which will be posted on YouTube to share the world of CHOJO.
