6 Things to Pack for MCON 2016
Getting pumped for MCON 2016? Us too! Before you head to our nation’s capital, check out our packing guide to make sure you’re prepared for the best three days of the summer.
Versatile clothing and layers
Attire for MCON is casual, so don’t overthink your clothing choices. Most attendees and speakers will wear jeans and tees (some with jackets, some not) or a casual dress. Just be comfortable! And a word to the wise: Consider packing a light jacket or sweater for the indoors (read: A/C) or evenings, should the weather cool down.
Comfortable shoes
Most MCON events are within a few blocks of each other, but you can still expect to spend a lot of time on your feet. (And you wouldn’t want to miss out on all MCON has to offer because of blisters, right?) Make sure to throw in comfortable shoes to keep your feet happy all week.
Workout gear
Day 3 kicks off with a mile-long run with Clif Bar CEO Kevin Cleary. Get your heart rate going early with a scenic run by the National Mall, the White House and the Washington Monument. The run starts at National Geographic at 7 a.m. on Thursday, June 23.
Plenty of business cards
MCON is your time to network with other leaders, activists and social entrepreneurs. Join the conversation, ask questions, discuss how others build causes and create movements and make connections to carry with you through MCON and beyond.
Your questions for speakers and panelists
All speaker and panel sessions allow for audience questions — even from online participants. Submit your question(s) through the MCON Social Q&A platform during any session.
Your smartphone, tablet or computer to post content and photos using #MCON
Join the discussion and document your MCON experience using the official hashtag, #MCON. Make sure to tag us on Twitter and Facebook so we can say thanks!
