Achieve President and MCON Founder Derrick Feldmann addresses fellow thought leaders at MCON 2015

We know what you’re thinking. “It’s pretty cool that #MCON 2016 is going to be a three-day program that is taking place in Washington D.C. during an election year, but who are the thought leaders that will be sharing their knowledge and experiences?”

We hear you. MCON has always gathered leaders, activists and social entrepreneurs to find creative solutions for social issues, but who are this year’s cause enthusiasts who will help attendees develop action plans during more than 25 different sessions?

Seriously. Enough teasing. Let’s turn your interest into action!

Miki Agrawal is a force of nature. She was named 2015 Social Entrepreneur of the Year at the World Technology Awards and her company THINX was named Time Magazine’s “25 Best New Inventions of 2015.″ Miki was also the recipient of the TriBeCa Film Festival’s “Disruptive Innovation Award” and was named one of the “Top 20 Millennials on a Mission” by Forbes.

Miki is also the Founder of the acclaimed farm-to-table gluten-free pizza concept WILD and 2015 marked her 10 year anniversary of having her restaurants open (a feat in and of itself!). Harper Collins published her book entitled “DO COOL SH*T” on entrepreneurship and lifestyle design. The book hit #1 on Amazon Bestsellers list in entrepreneurship.

From living in a tent in a Syrian refugee camp to working as radish farmers and surviving on $1 a day in Guatemala, Chris Temple is pioneering a new style of documentary filmmaking, using immersive storytelling to raise awareness and inspire action around pressing global issues. With his co-founder Zach, Chris produced, directed, and starred in their award-winning film, Living On One Dollar, which shot to #1 on iTunes for documentaries and was featured on the homepage banner of Netflix. It has been called “A Must Watch” by Director of the Hunger Games, Gary Ross, and Nobel Laureate, Mohammad Yunus.

He was recognized as one of the Top 100 Visionary Leaders of 2015 by WPO/YPO’s Real Leaders Magazine.

Kevin Cleary is the CEO of Clif Bar & Company, a leading maker of nutritious and organic foods and drinks for people on the go. Guided by Five Aspirations — Sustaining our Business, our Brands, our People, our Community and the Planet — Kevin has grown Clif Bar’s product portfolio, expanded national and international distribution and increased the company’s use of organic and sustainable ingredients.

Kevin inspires audiences to live life to its fullest at work and beyond; and shares his unique perspective on why we need to break the current food system to make it better for people, communities and the planet.

Melissa Lake is the co-founder of Honeycomb, a SaaS platform connecting business and philanthropy to make the world a sweeter place. The platform connects a business that wants to give back with a thoroughly vetted nonprofit, manages the relationship and incorporates a quantifiable social impact for every product sold.

Melissa is also the Executive Director of the ONEHOPE Foundation and Director of Social Impact for ONEHOPE. In her role with the Foundation, she is responsible for the foundation’s brand, social responsibility, and external nonprofit partnerships. Her vision for the foundation is to partner with the most effective nonprofits, measure dollar-to-impact ratios and provide donors with transparent reports about the social impact that are making.
