During the course of this class, I’ve examined how our desires to communicate and express our points of view on social media have been commodified through the efficiency of technology. We, as a people, have collectively have valued things such as the new iPhones but give no thought of where they come from. We neglect to think about where the materials for these devices come from. They cause wars in lands not familiar too familiar to us. People from foreign lands working day and night for inhumane hours just to produce many of the products we may take for granted today (due to the constant upgrading and such). But we can also consider solutions we can be a part of as well. We can recycle our old electronics to be reused for the new ones we so desire. Or simply donate to the less fortunate.
