Margarita Madness 5K At Talladega Superspeedway
As the weather warms up and we start thinking about summer, there are a lot of exciting things to look forward to. Time outside on the lake, trips to the beach, and dusting off the grill are just a few. You can get a little piece of summer this weekend though. If you love margaritas, you don’t want to miss the Margarita Madness 5K at Talladega Superspeedway on March 16.
Margarita Madness 5K
Even if you’re not a serious runner, you’ll have a great time at this event. On March 16, you can check in as early as 3 p.m. Even though the race doesn’t start until 5 p.m., you’ll want to get there early. There will be a pre-party with DJs and dancing to help get everyone excited for the day before the race.
All runners in this race must be 21 or older because your registration includes a margarita at the finish line! You’ll also get a finisher’s medal, a Margarita Madness 5K Run T-shirt, a race bib, and admission to the afterparty. And this isn’t a timed race, so don’t worry if you’re not the speediest runner. This day is all about having fun with your friends and family.

What to Bring
Whether you’ve run in organized races before or not, this event is totally unique! Be sure to wear your racing clothes. You’ll want to bring your photo ID and a copy of your confirmation email. That email has a personalized barcode, so be sure you have yours. Those two things will help you breeze through packet pick up. You’ll also want to have some cash on hand for parking at the venue.
There are also some things you shouldn’t bring to the Margarita Madness 5K. The course isn’t equipped for jogging strollers, so bring one at your own risk. Also, only service animals are allowed on the course, so leave pets at home.
