In an era characterized by extraordinary connections and the swift movement of ideas and narratives, the horrors of war are as terrible and deadly as ever. The recent violent clashes between Israel and Hamas are not just a terrible reminder of the Middle East’s volatility but also a mirror of the larger human battle between division and unification, hatred and understanding.

The horrific events of October 7th have left a mark on the collective memory of a global audience. While the rest of the world looked on in disbelief, Israelis were caught off guard by terror, and their sense of security shattered in an instant. As sirens rang and families sought refuge, the Israeli people’s resilience and spirit were put to the test once more in the face of unforeseen assault. The world offers its profound solidarity to the Israeli families afflicted, recognizing the profound pain of innocent lives being abruptly and senselessly shattered.

However, when the smoke cleared, it became brutally clear that the consequences of this fight reached well beyond its borders. In Gaza, countless innocent civilians were caught in the crossfire, many of whom had no affiliation with or support for the organized crime group Hamas. Homes were…
