Middle presentation and design direction
This week we have prepared a middle presentation. We’ve largely divided the steps into setting scope-generative research- insights- opportunities & concepts to present how we’ve narrowed the subject, what insight we’ve created through research, and how this connects to the design concept. As always, it was difficult to come up with design concepts with the insight obtained from research and workshops.
Among them, I took charge of finding an opportunity from the question “Can users have a say in they are digitally profiled by different services?”. While researching, I was able to find an interesting infographic, which helped us understand the data flow about how the initial input data from the user was analyzed and extracted to form digital profiling. It’s still a very unfinished idea, but I could imagine an intervention that lets a user understand this process clearly and to create their own profiling which is 3rd layer. Now on Facebook, users are able to modify their profiling data, but what can we offer more than that?
