What did you learn from this week’s studio activities?

What is our next goal for the design development?

Wrapping up the last presentation, we decided to develop our ideas into four different design concepts. Firstly, we talked about what we can actually do, and what will make a change for the people through conversation with profs. Lorrie. After went through synthesizing process, we embodied the idea of Digital Profiling and set the direction to apply the concept of transparency to our design intervention.

However, I thought that there were many shortcomings and blind spots in our define and ideation process. The first thing is that the insights from the research were are exactly connected to the design concepts. Also, the following concepts were too conceptual to develop into tangible outcomes such as product, service, and system level. Therefore, we want to find out what is most effective for conveying our concept, through additional research and various prototyping. Even though it’s not a smooth design development process now, but I think we can create a great answer by exploring various directions.
