Year in Review: MD+ in 2022
Over the past year, MD+ has undergone immense, immense growth. The most noticeable difference from our previous year-in-review is that we’ve rebranded from our original moniker, “MD++” to now MD+. With the help of our amazing team, we launched our new snazzy digital home base, mdplus.community. Our community is now close to 2,500 members around the world, consisting of medical students, and increasingly, residents and MDs, as more and more of our community continue advancing in their physician-innovator careers. This has been a phenomenal testament to the value that this community provides, with new members joining MD+ largely by word of mouth.
We kicked off 2022 with a national datathon. We had a bevy of amazing speakers like Dr. Kristin Russell; a Biotech Fireside Chat series co-hosted by our Directors of Biotech, Galen Shearn-Nance and Rob Chen; a health policy panel hosted by our Director of Health Policy, Jackie Xu, and a chat with Lily Peng, Director at Verily, moderated by our Directors of AI, Abdullah Ahmed and Areeba Abid.
Our community came together virtually to attend consulting panel, a residency panel event discussing the pros and cons of pursuing residency, and a medical-student-in-VC…
