Roivant Innovation Challenge
From applying ML to surgical complications to addressing food insecurity — compelling new ideas from 70+ up-and-coming Physician-Innovators
A few weeks ago we organized our second-ever Innovation Challenge in collaboration with Roivant Sciences to support 70+ aspiring physician-innovators in building their vision for the future of healthcare. Over the course of 5 weeks together, teams came together from medical schools all across the country, met with thought leaders and domain experts at Roivant, conducted independent market research, and crafted some extremely compelling ideas.
Following in the footsteps of our inaugural Innovation Challenge with AlleyCorp, we were blown away by the quality and depth of each of the presentations and wanted to publicly congratulate our 6 finalists and our grand prize winners.
- Annovate: an AI-enabled intraoperative decision-making tool to improve safety and quality (Archis Bhandarkar, Namrata Arya, Michael Diaz, Catherine LaSpina, Keldon Lin)
- Food Farmacy: digital tools for food pharmacies to enable healthier patients and reduced healthcare costs through food as medicine interventions (Aneeqah Naeem, Cindy Won, Taimur Siddiqui, Ahad Azimuddin)
- EyeWonder: ML-enabled cataract screening solution (Franklin Iheanacho, Yash Vengalasetti, Amisha Dave, Emily Wang, Dr. Niha Baviriseaty)
