After spending eight months on Medium, I have decided that it’s time to contribute to the community that has given so much to me — from immense support to worthy monetary compensation, you name it.

As a gesture to give back to the community as a whole, I have decided to start my own pub.

Before diving straight into the rules, I would like to tell you the story behind the name of the pub, Me-Notes, and share my vision for this publication.

Story Behind The Name

Firstly, if you have noticed from the logo, it’s a fusion of the Medium logo and the Notes app on our mobile, which everybody uses.

Once this becomes apparent, it’s clear why the name of the pub is Me-Notes. Although it was actually supposed to be Medium’s Notes, due to Medium’s policy of not allowing its name in publication titles, I changed it to Motes, which was again a mixture of both the above-mentioned apps. But since it was already in use, I had to settle for Me-Notes.
