Final Game Project Pitch
“Chickpea & Olive: A Vegan Adventure” is a game with a message. Created for and named after a vegan restaurant, it is meant not only to entertain people, but also get them more interested in the subject. By doing that through a game, getting the player to save animals and kill butchers and fishermen, the goal of spreading veganism is reached in a more casual and fun way, almost subliminally.
Besides that, what makes the game unique is that you’re able to switch between the two characters while playing. That allows the player to have a different experience inside the same game.
What also makes the game interesting is the relation between the assets and the restaurant itself. Aside from the two main characters being in the restaurant’s logo, the lives(beets) and “powerup”(jackfruit) in the game have a meaning too. The restaurant’s two most popular items are a burger that is made out of beets and a sandwich that is made with jackfruit. Therefore, the player can relate his experience when playing the game with his experience eating Chickpea & Olive’s food.
