How does Syoban Action play with video game expectations?

(Apparently I skipped week 5 blog and went right to week 6’s. If I had known that, I would have use the information I put there to here. )

Syoban Action essentially throws off all the your video game expectation and knowledge right out of the window. It mimics itself to look like Mario, a game that everyone must have played, heard, or seen. A game that taught us about killing enemies by jumping on them, getting power up from bricks, platforming and how to beat a level. Syoban Action negates all of that and turns all of them against the players. Destroying all that we have learned from Mario and essentially all other game rules we know. Power ups kills you, platform trap, random environment kill, sudden pop in of enemies, etc.
