Slide baby Slide starts with a simple ice level where the baby seal slides around and collects points. Levels are not introduced via a disruptive interface, but rather as the baby seal learns new skills, new obstacles are introduced through checkpoints.

The first level of the game only involves the baby seal collecting puffins. The second checkpoint the baby seal will try to find other baby seals to slide with. After a number of points are accrued, the baby seal will begin to encounter obstacles such as polar bears and traps. A water level is introduced after the baby seal escapes the polar bears. The game continues alternating water and ice in an infinite runner, introducing new rewards and obstacles the further the baby seal explores into the arctic.
